Mission Statement

Our vision at East Christian Reformed Church is lived out by the following four C's  ...

Celebrate through joyful worship in our services and in our daily lives

“Blended” worship mixes traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs with worship teams in addition to the organ and piano.

Design elements are incorporated within the service and sanctuary, supported by audio and video projection.

Messages from the pulpit challenge us to live out our Christian faith in all aspects of our lives.

A concurrent children's service provides an age-appropriate worship experience for our young members.

Cultivate each person's gifts for service by equipping them to grow in Christ

All that we are and have belongs to God.  We wish to honour Him who has gifted us with capabilities to edify his people and our community.  East Christian Reformed Church encourages all to be involved within the ministries of our church and to develop our gifts and talents given by the Holy Spirit.

Small Groups is an excellent means for sharing, encouraging and developing our faith when we regularly meet with fellow believers. The bonds established buoy us up when we face life's struggles and encourage us to step out in faith to use our gifts in service of God and His kingdom.

Care for the needs of our church family and community demonstrating the compassion of Christ

East Christian Reformed Church demonstrates care to the community with food drives. We have also formalized plans with the OPP to provide safe haven for stranded motorists during severe weather and road closures.

We want to see how God is at work in the community and how we can come alongside and support others in ministerial opportunities within Strathroy-Caradoc.

Communicate the Good News to all people

We seek to reach the community with the Good News of Jesus Christ by broadcasting our worship services on the local cable channel and via our web presence.  We hope to communicate our message to all who are seeking Christ or looking for a church home.

At East Christian Reformed Church we pray that the Holy Spirit will move in our church to instil a sense of excitement for the vision that God has laid before us; to proclaim Christ and to work for His kingdom here on earth.
