Various Mission Initiatives that we support...
James 2:15-18 is very clear in what we need to do when it says, "Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds. ”Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
We have all been given different gifts and callings, and in working out our churches vision of "Share the love of Jesus with Everyone" we all have a different roll to play. Under the "Serving" page of this website, you could find the different ways in which we can use our own hands and resources for the Glory of God, how we can serve Him physically in different areas of our life.
In this section of Sharing, you can see how we can use our resources and continue in prayer and support for these initiatives, even though we can't physically be there.
There are many different organizations that our church supports through our collections and tithing, but there are 3 larger ones that Strathroy East supports through our denomination which is called Christian Reformed Churches of North America. For many years, this denomination has sought to share the love of Jesus at home, and all over the world through the different arms of the organization as listed below. Additionally, donations that anyone would like to specifically earmark for one of these initiatives, or any of the other organizations that we support, can be done through our Church Deacons or privately through the organization's websites.
