We want to extend to you a very warm welcome!
Perhaps you are new to the Strathroy area, or are looking for a new church home, or are just wanting to check out our services. Whatever your reason, please feel welcome to come worship with us!
What time is church?
Our morning worship service begins at 9:30 am.
When you arrive, please look for the Welcome Desk in the foyer. Someone will be there to direct you to the nursery or washrooms or help you with any other questions you may have.
What is there for my children during church?
- There is Nursery for the entire service, and Sunday School for young children during the second part of the Worship Service.
- In our Nursery, we welcome children up to 3 years old.
- For the summer we have one Sunday School class for 3 year olds - Gr. 3
- The children for Sunday School will start in the main worship service in the sanctuary with their family for the first 20 minutes or so, and then go to their class after the children's song and prayer.
Please Note: If your child(ren) are going to Sunday School during the service, parents are asked to "Sign their children in" at the Welcome Desk before the service, or go out with their child at Sunday School time to do so. They must be picked up by the same person who signed them in and you will need to sign them out again when you pick them up after the service.
Since we are participating in the 'Safe Church' program', all of our members who volunteer for nursery and children's programs have completed a police check and the 'Safe Church' program.
What is your worship service like?
Our worship service usually lasts for about an hour.
We begin with a time of vibrant blended praise and worship (led by a praise team or organ or a combination of both) and opening worship, followed by the children's song and prayer.
After the children leave for Sunday School, we then have a time of hearing from God's Word through a message delivered by the Pastor or leader. This is followed with a closing hymn and a parting blessing.
Following the morning service, everyone is invited to enjoy fellowship and free coffee and refreshments in the hall opposite the sanctuary.
If you have any questions at all, the ushers or greeters at the back of the sanctuary would be happy to help you.
What do I wear to church?
That is pretty much up to you, whatever you are comfortable in. Some people like to dress up to come to the house of the Lord, others are more comfortable dressing more casually.
We hope that this is a place where you will feel Christ's presence and renewal as you worship with us, where you can find hope, comfort and strength for the coming week and where you can feel you are a welcome part of a community of believers.
Whether you are just beginning to explore God's love for you, or you have been a Christian all your life and want to delve deeper in your faith walk, we pray that your Christian journey will be strengthened in our fellowship.
