Called to Give.

At East CRC we recognize our call to give generously. We believe in the Biblical principle of giving generously out of what God has given to us, with grateful and expectant hearts.

Missions We Support

At East CRC, we use what God has blessed us with to support work in our local and global  Christian communities.

A message from Moses and Karen:

Hey Saints at Strathroy East, we are so excited to be a part of your church ministry. We, Moses and Karen Lubbers-Odel, are honored to serve in Uganda on your behalf.

Uganda is one of the top 3 youngest countries in the world, which means that half the population (42 million) is under the age of 15.  Therefore children's ministry is vital.  We love being a part of various ministries here - whether it is training teachers and church leaders, preaching, discipling young people, leading Bible studies, teaching Bible class in schools or organizing kid's camps and Bible clubs!! Music is always in the air as Moses thrives on playing guitar, keyboard, and drums, and both of us love singing praises to the Lord. We also hope to be God's hands and feet in the hospitals and prisons more often.

We would love to hear more from you, so please send us personal messages and prayer requests, or pop us an email if you wish to receive our regular e-news at klubbers@crcnapartners.org

Check out our blog at www.karebear-lubbers.blogspot.com as we try to post updates there regularly.

MINISTRY FOCUS: An international school for mainly children of missionaries and pastors, Faith Academy has over 500 students. The children come from 24 different countries, creating an enriching and yet diverse atmosphere for all.

As dorm parents, we minister to on average 13-15 boys, ranging from Grades 8-12, at one time. We care for every aspect of who they are just like their parents would—their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We’re there to provide their meals, drive them to appointments, plan weekend outings, lend a listening ear, and offer counsel/discipline them. One major outing we do every so often is take the boys, along with our own children, to visit a home that rescues children from human trafficking.

Above all, we lead them through regular devotional times with the desire to raise up the next generation of pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders. Through this role, we support the boys’ parents who serve as global workers in such countries as Sri Lanka, China, Bangladesh, South Korea, and the Philippines.

Ryan Faber

Zambia - https://www.resonateglobalmission.org/missionaries/ryan-and-jody-faber

Ryan teaches in the theology department at Justo Mwale University. Begun as a seminary of the Reformed Church in Zambia, Justo Mwale now served several Reformed and Presbyterian denominations in southern Africa with students from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, and South Africa. Teaching in the school’s traditional four-year seminary program, Ryan will equip local church pastors for important mission work in their communities. Ryan will also help build the capacity of the African church to provide solid theological education through supervision of graduate students who will teach in Bible colleges and seminaries throughout southern Africa. In this work, he seeks to obey Paul’s instruction to Timothy: “The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Tim. 2:2)

37 Frank Street

Strathroy - https://yfcstrathroy.com/

37 Frank is a Youth Center in Strathroy that has a special place in the heart of our church members.  As a church, we have supported Youth for Christ for many years, and it has grown and changed into the youth center we now know.

The center is managed and run by Dave Berdan. Below is his vision for what this new place in town will mean for the youth of Strathroy.  If you have a heart for ministry like this, please stop in at the center on 37 Frank Street in Strathroy and talk to Dave about how you can help him in sharing the gospel here.
